Retirement: Employee Contribution to Apple 3.75%Employer Contribution to Apple 3.75% Position Duties

Under general supervision of an academic employee or administrator, a Trainer is an Adult Temporary employee of the district as defined by Education Code section 88003. A Trainer is not an academic employee or a faculty member, but is an at will employee who provides various professional services in non-academic contract educational fee-based programs.
Provide various professional services including presentations in non-academic, fee-per-service, contract educational programs. In addition to developing and presenting specific programs to participants, the position may also assist in the registration of participants, collection of fees, advertising and development of authorized contract, non-academic educational training programs.

Other representative duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Analysis of Front-End Needs
  • Assessment of Career Interest, Skills and Competency.
  • Literacy Audit
  • Evaluation and Measurement of Impact
  • Development of Training Materials
  • Computer-Aided training
Qualification

ABILITY TO:Ability to develop and to make effective professional presentations to participants in the contract educational programs; demonstrate knowledge of assessment and training; engage participants through a variety of training strategies; and establish and maintain effective working relationships. WORKING CONDITIONS:ENVIRONMENT:Indoor & outdoor work environment.Considerable distraction from office activities. PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a keyboard.Sitting or standing for extended periods of time.Bending at the waist to assist students.Hearing and speaking to exchange information.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Expertise, experience and specialized knowledge in defined areas of contract educational training program needs; the ability to develop and make effective professional presentations to participants at community services programs; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with representatives in diverse fields and from a variety of ethnic and economic backgrounds; exhibit leadership in management and planning; perform consistently under the pressure of group presentations and deadlines.Compensation is based on professional and industry certifications, experience and/or education.
