A two-year postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Computer Science at Tulane University, based in historic Uptown New Orleans. The postdoctoral researcher will work with Dr. Zizhan Zheng’s group on developing novel algorithms and machine learning-aided solutions for enabling more efficient, reliable, and secure computer networks and distributed computing systems. Two active projects led by Dr. Zheng on AI for security and next-generation wireless networks are currently supported by NSF.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in one or several of the following areas: computer networks (wired or wireless), distributed systems, cybersecurity, and machine learning.

• Excellent written communication skills demonstrated by prior publications

• PhD in computer science or related area

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with approximation algorithms and discrete/continuous optimization.

• Familiarity with game theory and online learning.
