The Remote Sensing Center is looking for Assistant, Associate, and Research Personnel that will report directly to the Director, Dr. Prasad Gogineni. Desired focus areas include: RF Systems, Antennas and Antenna Arrays, Digital Hardware and Systems Architecture, Signal Processing, Big Data, and Aerospace Applications.

Successful candidates are expected to develop and sustain sponsored research programs, and seek and obtain external funding to partially support research program within the remote sensing center.

The Remote Sensing Center at the University of Alabama is searching for Assistant, Associate, and Research Staff Personnel. Desired focus areas include: RF Systems, Antennas and Antenna Arrays, Digital Hardware and Systems Architecture, Signal Processing, Big Data, and Aerospace Applications. Degree requirements are based on the rank of position.

Successful candidates are expected to develop and sustain sponsored research programs, and seek and obtain external funding to partially support research program within the remote sensing center.

Additional Position Information:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•The rank of Assistant Research requires a Master’s degree in Aerospace or Electrical engineering (or related field).
•The ranks of Associate Research and Research require a Ph.D. degree in Aerospace or Electrical engineering (or related field).
•Seeking applicants with industrial and academic experience in design aircraft structures and avionics
•Ability to develop and sustain a high-quality externally funded research program.
•Effective communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Expertise in remote sensing systems and their applications.
•Proven record in funded research
•Demonstrated ability of working in a multidisciplinary environment.

Positions are non-tenure earning.
