•Maintain an active research/publication record and pursue external funding agenda in reading education
•Direct student research, theses, and dissertations in reading and elementary education and advise students
•Supervise practicum and internship experiences
•Collaborate in further development of innovative undergraduate and graduate programs
•Provide service within the University, to state and local education agencies, and to relevant professional reading organizations
•Serve on student and faculty committees
•Collaborate with local schools and school systems

Position: Assistant/Associate Professor of Elementary Reading Education PK-6 (Tenure Track)

Minimum Qualifications:
•Earned Doctorate in reading education, elementary education, or Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in reading education
•Minimum 2 years full-time classroom teaching experience in pre-K to 6
•Evidence of scholarly publications in reading education
•Ability to teach courses in reading methods pre-K to 6
•Ability to integrate technology into instruction

Additional Minimum Qualifications for Associate Proessor Level:
Earned/expect to earn tenure at current institution by the start date
• Demonstrated a highly productive and published research agenda
• Secured external grant funding as PI or Co-PI
• Established a strong record in teaching
• Doctoral supervision and advising experience

Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience and expertise in emergent reading
•Experience in grant writing
•Ability to teach with an inclusive perspective
•Experience with mixed methods research design
•Experience working with teams in collaborative settings

Responsibilities:
