•advise undergraduate, masters, and education specialist degree-seeking students
•direct doctoral research studies in mathematics education (when appropriate)
•serve on dissertation committees
•participate in program development and accreditation processes
•serve on student and faculty committees
•provide service within the University, to state and local educational agencies, and to relevant professional organizations

Position: Assistant/Associate Professor of Secondary Mathematics Education 6-12 (Tenure Track)

Minimum Qualifications
•an earned doctorate by the start date in Mathematics Education or education field related to the teaching and learning of middle and/or high school mathematics
•at least two years teaching experience in middle school and/or high school mathematics classrooms
•the ability to pursue a research agenda and external funding
•the ability to teach courses in mathematics education
•the ability to incorporate multicultural perspectives and inclusion concepts with instruction
•the ability to integrate technology into instruction including web-assisted and other delivery models
•a commitment to supervise/observe teacher candidates
•a commitment to collaborate with mathematics, mathematics education, STEM education, and/or other college/university faculty to seek external funding for research, service, and teacher professional development activities
•the potential to teach/develop online graduate courses
•a commitment to take part in transforming our graduate mathematics education programs

Additional Minimum Qualifications for Associate Professor Level:
•earned/expect to earn tenure at their current institution by the start date
•demonstrated a highly productive and published research agenda
•secured external grant funding as PI or Co-PI
•established a strong record for teaching
•completed successful doctoral dissertation supervision

Preferred Qualifications
•experience with the edTPA licensure assessment
