The Department of Human Development and Family Studies, College of Human Environmental Sciences at The University of Alabama seeks applicants for an Assistant or Associate Professor, tenure-track appointment. Sought are applicants with a promising record of research and teaching in family science. The department offers undergraduate majors in HDFS, Early Childhood Education, and Addiction and Recovery, and a MS in HDFS with concentrations in Marriage and Family Therapy, Child Life, and Parent and Family Life Education. Qualifications include a doctoral degree in Human Development and Family Studies, Marriage and Family Therapy, Prevention Science, or an equivalent field; evidence of scholarly work, including a strong research record, and/or participation in grant submissions or success at grant funding (required for Associate Professor level); strong interpersonal skills, including effective oral and written communication skills; and teaching experience in higher education.
