About Bunker Hill Community College:

Adjunct instructors are needed in Engineering & Physical Sciences Department
ENV-105 Environmental Science/Lab
Seeking an adjunct instructor for a weekend or evening section in Environmental Science/Lab. This course is an introduction to the physical, chemical, and biological processes of the natural world. Emphasis is placed on the science of environmental processes, problems, and solutions. Case studies about land, air, and water pollution will be integrated throughout the course. The laboratory will introduce basic field techniques, internet research, laboratory skills, report writing, and data analyses. This course will lay the foundation for understanding the key concepts required for Environmental Science majors. This course provides an overview of environmental science topics through a combination of lecture, class discussion, and laboratory activities to develop critical thinking and formal report writing skills.
- Masters' degree in Environmental Science or related field; Ph.D. preferred
- Strong laboratory skills required; GIS skills preferred
- College-level teaching experience required; community college teaching experience preferred
- Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population
QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE INVITED TO ATTEND THE ADJUNCT ACADEMY PRIOR TO BEING ASSIGNED COURSES.
Salary: $1,104.00 per credit hour
