Position Summary

The Department of Management at Michigan State University is seeking to add a new tenure-stream faculty member (assistant or advanced assistant professor) beginning in August 2019 in the area of Organizational Behavior and/or Human Resource Management. Preference will be given to applicants who have demonstrated the ability to publish high quality research in top-tier management and applied psychology journals. Teaching responsibilities may include undergraduate and graduate courses in areas related to organizational behavior and human resource management. In addition, applicants should be able to demonstrate ability as a classroom instructor through summarized peer and/or student evaluations and/or explicit commentary in letters of recommendation. Salary is competitive.

Required Degree

Doctorate -OB, HR or I/O Psychology

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in a relevant area of scholarship (e.g., OB, HR, I/O Psychology) by August 2019.

We are looking for a candidate who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our current group of organizational behavior and human resource management faculty (Georgia Chao, Don Conlon, Lance Ferris, Nick Hays, John Hollenbeck, Russ Johnson, Frederick Morgeson, John Schaubroeck, Brent Scott, Linn Van Dyne, John Wagner) and our strategic management faculty (He Gao, Gerry McNamara, Kevin Miceli, Kent Miller, Jamal Shamsie, Bob Wiseman) through their research, teaching, and service. Collaboration opportunities also exist with faculty in other departments on campus.

To be given consideration, applicants must provide a cover letter describing their primary research interests and accomplishments, a curriculum vitae, a recent sample of teaching evaluations, and three letters of recommendation.
