Position Summary
The Department of Radiology at Michigan State University is accepting applications for a unique combined one-year Breast Imaging/Musculoskeletal Radiology fellowship starting July. Applicants must have an MD or DO degree from an accredited institution and have successfully completed a Radiology residency. They must be eligible for board certification by the American Board of Radiology or American Osteopathic Board of Radiology.
The 6 month Breast Imaging component of this fellowship is located in our new Women’s Imaging Center which is connected to MSU Breast Surgery. The fellowship provides comprehensive training in all aspects of women’s imaging including interventional procedures. This includes digital mammography, tomosynthesis, ultrasound (breast & pelvic), breast biopsies, MRI, DEXA and other modalities. The successful applicant will participate in weekly interdisciplinary conferences and will have the opportunity to teach and conduct research if desired.
The 6 month Musculoskeletal Radiology component will be in the MSK division consisting of three fellowship trained radiologists who offer the full spectrum of musculoskeletal imaging services. Fellows can expect broad exposure to advanced imaging techniques and musculoskeletal disease, with an emphasis on sports medicine and magnetic resonance imaging. Exposure also includes most musculoskeletal interventional procedures and diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound. The division has a very close working relationship with MSU Sports Medicine.
Required Degree
Doctorate -Medicine / Radiology
Minimum Requirements- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Successful completion of a Radiology residency
- Eligible for board certification by American Board of Radiology or American Osteopathic Board of Radiology
