The Department of Public Health within the School of Nursing, Health, and Exercise Science at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) invites applications for adjunct temporary Teaching Faculty positions on a semester by semester basis beginning January 27, 2019 (spring term) or August 26, 2019 (fall term).
TCNJ currently offers a Bachelor of Science major and minor in Public Health, a 4 +1 and traditional Masters of Public Health with tracks in precision health, global health, and health communication, and a Graduate Certificate in Public Health.
The ideal candidate will have teaching experience, preferably in Public Health Genomics, Health Analytics, Health Informatics or Big Data analysis and application, as well as Global Health, Introduction to Epidemiology, Health Disparities, Social Determinants of Health and/or Research Methods. Applicants must be committed to engaging students in community Public Health activities. Applicants must be willing to teach in the evenings at times, coordinate with the Department Chair about needs for accreditation, and attend adjunct faculty orientation and end of semester evaluation meetings.
Applicants must have at minimum a Master's degree in Public Health (MPH, MSPH), the social sciences or communication studies with an emphasis in Public Health, or a comparable degree and have demonstrated excellence in teaching, research and/or Public Health practice.
