Business Development Manager
Position Title: Business Development Manager
Salary: $50,000 commensurate with experience
Associate’s Degree and a minimum of 10 years’ of related manufacturing experience, valid drivers’ license at the time of hire and throughout the duration of employment required. OR Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years’ of work experience in manufacturing, education, or workforce development, valid drivers’ license at the time of hire and throughout the duration of employment required.
The Business Development Manager will identify and develop new business opportunities with manufacturers in the six county Mohawk Valley Region, while also building upon relationships with the Advanced Institute for Manufacturing (AIM) current clients. The points of emphasis will include marketing and selling AIM training programs and MVCC technical education programs, building supply chains, connecting local manufacturers with New York State technical resources, and engaging with the workforce development community to identify new and innovative ways to bring technical solutions to the manufacturing community. This is a grant funded position.
- Develops and delivers marketing campaigns to manufacturing organizations across the Mohawk Valley Region;Markets Advanced Institute for Manufacturing (AIM) consulting services and additional New York State technology programs to regional manufacturers;Develops, manages and delivers project proposals to customers; Provides project management assistance to project leaders;Manages grant funding available to manufacturers in the region and provides the clients with assistance in completing their application for services;Attends manufacturing events and workshops in and outside of the Mohawk Valley Region and represents Mohawk Valley Community College and the AIM;Manages AIM Customer Relationship Management Software;
- Other related duties as assigned by the Director of the Advanced Institute for Manufacturing.
