The Business Services Assistant has the responsibility to assist and support the Business Services Department with General Ledger Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Shipping and Receiving.

Responsibilities
  • Supports and serves as a role model for our mission, vision, strategic and service initiatives.
  • Adheres to College policies & procedures, and compliance guidelines.
  • Performs administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and data entry.
  • Performs project work for all Business Services areas.
  • Assists with loading, unloading, and delivery of mail and packages within Shipping and Receiving.
  • Performs the daily intercampus mail run to Mt. Pleasant.
  • Understands safe storage and handling procedures for hazardous materials.
  • Attends and participates in departmental staff meetings, as appropriate.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all matters.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
    • Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

    • Ability to communicate effectively, in verbal and written format, with various constituencies including students, faculty, administrators, and community members.

     

    Education, Certification, Licensure:

    • High School Diploma
    • Michigan Driver’s License
    • Must be at least 21 years old

    Experience:
