Job Description:


The Civil Engineering Program at York College of Pennsylvania invites applications for a tenure-track, assistant professor position in construction engineering/management beginning in the fall semester of 2019 (starting on 1 July 2019), with ongoing teaching assignments two terms each year. Successful candidates will have the ability to teach in construction engineering and to additionally teach in one or more of the areas of civil engineering. Preference will be given to candidates who have the ability to teach across a broad range of civil engineering courses, possess other specialties in civil engineering, and/or who have industrial work experience. Candidates are expected to demonstrate the potential for: outstanding teaching/advising, ongoing college service, and professional development; developing undergraduate courses; and working with industry and undergraduate students in applied research. Graduates of the ASCE ExCEEd Teaching Workshop are especially encouraged to apply.



Requirements:


Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, or a closely related field, and should have a record of successful undergraduate teaching. Registration as a professional engineer (PE) or the ability to obtain a license as a professional engineer is highly desired.
