Job Description:


The Instructional Designer and Technologist will be responsible for providing guidance and support for faculty in the use of technology to enhance teaching and learning in face-to-face, blended, and online courses. The position will assist faculty with the design and development of courses involving the use of a learning management system (LMS), work with the Senior Instructional Designer to coordinate planning, scheduling and delivery of courses related to curriculum development projects, collaborate with faculty to create engaging learning activities through the design of online and technology-enhanced courses, facilitate the integration of innovative approaches and tools into the teaching/learning process and experience, provide LMS and related educational technology workshops and training, incorporate knowledge of ADA requirements and Section 508 standards in course delivery, engage in professional development and review of new tools, strategies and opportunities in the online learning and related technology fields, and collaborate with other teams on Library and Technology Services initiatives and projects.



Requirements:


The candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Education or a related field, two years of instructional design experience in developing courses (synchronous, asynchronous) in higher education institutions, two years of experience with e-Learning technology platforms and learning management systems, experience using videoconferencing tools, online engagement tools, and/or remote proctoring tools, experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and screencasting software, and experience with adaptive learning platforms (ex. Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).


At least two years teaching at the college level, and a Master's Degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Education or related field are preferred.
