Job Id: 290 # of Openings: 1 Wheaton College Conservatory of MusicAssistant or Associate Professor of Music Music Education and Symphonic Band The Conservatory of Music at Wheaton College (IL) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in music to begin August 15, 2019. Candidates should have a record of excellence and accomplishment in music education and as a band conductor. Ideal candidates will be committed to teaching, with the clearly demonstrated ability to provide leadership and vision for the music education and band programs. The teaching load will include conducting the Symphonic Band, teaching courses in music education, supervising student teachers, and may also include assignments in other areas, depending on qualifications and experience. Candidates should have an earned doctorate or commensurate professional experience. Other desired qualifications include a commitment to the liberal arts, demonstrated discipleship and spiritual maturity; strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work in a highly collegial fashion, and recruitment abilities and experience.
