Description of Basic Functions and Responsibilities
The Shasta-Tehama-Trinity Joint Community College District (Shasta College) sits at the northern end of the Sacramento Valley, surrounded by mountains to the north, east, and west. This position will assist the lead instructor with management and oversight of students during Firefighter 1 Academy instruction. The aide must have completed basic firefighter training and hold certificates, and be proficient, in the specific topics of structure and wildland firefighting with which he/she will be assisting.
