NJCU Center for the Arts Box Office/Front of House Manager: Part-time Hourly

Reports to: Interim Managing Director of the NJCU Center for the Arts

Overview: Box Office/Front of House Manager is responsible ensuring a professional front of house experience at NJCU arts events. S/he will follow policies and procedures, and lead by example to provide excellent customer service to patrons and artists. Must be available to work on nights and weekends (typically 1-2 events/wk), and advance event preparation/email can be handled remotely.

Responsibilities:
>Directly work and oversee box office for all NJCU ticketed shows
>Build online ticketing & RSVP pages
>Handle advance sales and RSVPs

>House seat and complementary ticket management.
>Act as front of house manager/check in guests for select free events
>Train and oversee grad student front of house managers and volunteer ushers
>Track attendance and box office sales reports for all events
>Follow record-keeping and proper cash handling/control procedures
>Generate sales and attendance reports as needed.

>provide additional event and administrative support to Interim Managing Director

Skills:

>at least 1 year of front of house management/box office experience

>ability to work independently

>excellent customer service and communication skill set

>proficient in MS office suite

>organized, detail oriented and meticulous
