THIS IS A TEMPORARY, HOURLY AS NEEDED POSITION WITHOUT PERMANENT STATUS.
The Writing Center is seeking an individual with ESL teaching experience and/or TESOL certification to help AmLa and other Non-native English speaking students develop their academic language skills. The Tutor Expert Level V meets one on one with students, guides them through the writing process, and helps develop writing and revising skills.Required Qualifications Preferred Qualifications
•BA in English or TESOL, or related field with ESL experience/TESOL certification.
•MA in English or TESOL/TESL;
•Prior experience in a tutoring center;
•Prior experience teaching composition.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Employees may periodically be required to operate a vehicle that necessitates possession of a valid California driver’s license. Such employees must have the ability to secure and maintain a valid California driver’s license.
