Seeking multiple Student Career Ambassadors to support the Career Services & Professional Development (CSPD) offices on the Middletown & Hamilton campuses. These student employee positions will assist CSPD staff, provide peer coaching (specifically in resume and job search), and will work under the direction of the Director and Assistant Director.

Responsibilities:

Clerical functions / Ability to operate office equipmentAnswer incoming calls, greet students for appointments and walk-insQualified candidates to provide peer advising of resumes, and other career related topicsPrepare materials for workshops or eventsAssist professional office staff as needed Communication and marketing task as assignedUpdate/maintain student and employer databasesOther duties as assigned to meet departmental needs Minimum Qualifications:Education/Qualifications Required:

Must be enrolled for a minimum of six credit hours at Miami University Regionals during the academic yearMust have a minimum 2.50 GPAConfidentiality is a must to comply with Federal Privacy lawsOpen to all majors, an interest in career development is a plusMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Docs, and willing to learn other software programsAppropriate verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and work from verbal or written instructionsDependable and creativeMust be appropriately dressed to represent a professional work environmentWill work around students course schedule, but must have some availability Monday – Thursday, between the hours of 11am – 4pm

Preferred Qualifications:

Student has prior experience working with the Career Services & Professional Development office, improving their career and professional related skillsStudent has basic skill in writing and critiquing resumes and job search.
