Knox College invites applications for a Dining Services – Snack Bar Worker – Gizmo. This is a 30 hour per week, 10 month, benefit eligible position with varied shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.


Primary responsibilities of the Gizmo Snack Bar Worker are to provide courteous and efficient customer service. This involves preparing food, based on menu orders placed, ringing up purchases and answering customer questions. When not serving customers, the Gizmo Snack Bar Worker, using established procedures and methods, is responsible for stocking and re-stocking snack bar supplies and keeping food and drink appliances filled and in working order. Also performs general dining and production area cleaning and related duties. Must be able to follow instructions and work closely with fellow Gizmo staff, as well as the ability to direct and assist student employees. May work in any or all dining service areas and units.


  • Previous snack bar/fast food preparations and POS experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must have basic math skills, and be able to read and follow instructions.
  • Food Handler's Certification required (upon hire)
  • Ability to move or lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
