The first year of college is a time of exciting changes and dramatic transitions. Hofstra's first-year connections seminars and clusters are designed to get the college experience off to a great start. At the heart of the program are small classes taught by distinguished faculty in areas of interest ranging across academic disciplines. These classes introduce students to the intellectual and social life of the University.

This part time position supports this program by purchasing transportation and venue tickets for course-related travel, arranging logistics for field trips, communicating with multiple individuals/offices both on campus and off campus, monitoring course schedule details, keeping track of enrollments in FYC courses, accounting and bookkeeping, and other duties as required including travel to and from LIRR station as needed. Hours: Position requires a total of 18 hours per week; hours are flexible but must commit to a schedule to be spread across four or five weekdays, between the hours of 9 am to 5 pm.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree required. Must possess strong bookkeeping, writing, organizational and administrative skills, a positive attitude and the ability to multitask and maintain thoroughness, follow-through and attention to detail in a busy office. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Knowledge of the University environment, travel planning skills and work-order processing software a plus.
