Job Details
The Department of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences is housed within the School of Health Professions and Human Services, which includes the Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic, located in the Joan and Arnold Saltzman Community Services Center. The Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic offers diagnostic and treatment services to children and adults for a variety of communication disorders. The Clinic has over 150 pediatric and adult affiliations within the greater NY metropolitan area.
Requirements:
Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in child language disorders and diagnostics
•Other courses may include speech sound disorders, language and literacy, or introductory courses in the communication sciences
•Course load consists of 9 semester hours (3 courses) of teaching per semester
•Additional responsibilities include research in the applicant’s area of interest, student advisement, and involvement in Department, School and University committees.Qualifications:
•Earned Ph.D. in Communication Disorders or a related field
•ASHA certification is preferred but not required.
