General Description

College of the Sequoias Community College District is seeking qualified adjunct counselors to provide academic counseling within the Student Services Division.

Adjunct counselor assignments may include weekend and/or evening counseling at the Visalia Campus, the Hanford Educational Center, or the Tulare College Center.

Adjunct counselor applications which meet the required minimum qualifications are kept on file for one year from the date the application is received.

Adjunct counselor positions are temporary positions and do not accrue rights to tenure.

Job Duties

Under the general direction of a dean or director, counseling duties may include: educational, vocational and personal counseling, development of educational plans, making referrals to on campus/off campus services, and other related responsibilities.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
The minimum qualifications for this position are:


Master's in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, guidance counseling, educational counseling, social work, career development, marriage and family therapy or marriage, family and child counseling,ORThe equivalent.
(NOTE: A bachelor's degree in one of the listed degrees and a license as a Marriage and Family Therapist(MFT) is an alternative qualification for this discipline.) Application Procedure
