DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Fiscal Technician – Travel position reports to the Accounts Payable Supervisor. This position is responsible for reviewing travel requests and post travel reconciliation documents for accuracy and completeness; verifies compliance with travel policy as appropriate; contacting individuals to follow up on any missing or incorrect documentation; effectively communicating with faculty, staff and students to train on procedures and give additional feedback when needed; assist accounts payable with purchase order review, keying invoices and follow-up; and perform any other duties within the scope of this position.

QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting/Business Administration or a high school diploma and 2 years’ experience working in an office environment with a responsibility to enforce policy and procedures. The successful candidate must understand the concept of policies, procedures and compliance; understand professionalism and the importance of good customer service. The candidate must be able to prioritize and multi-task in order to meet deadlines. The successful candidate must also have excellent basic computer skills with the ability to learn new software with ease; have excellent organization skills; ability to perform mathematical concepts, interpret and apply financial procedures and regulations and perform analysis of financial records. Previous experience using Jenzabar, Microsoft office, ten-key, and other office equipment is preferred. The candidate selected must be able to work independently, give attention to detail and communicate effectively.

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
