Position Title: Adjunct Instructors, Department of Music

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Candidates are sought to form a hiring pool for part-time/adjunct faculty positions in the Department of Music. Teaching assignments will be at the undergraduate level and include lecture, applied lessons, chamber ensembles, and studio. These positions would offer opportunities for undergraduate level teaching in the following applied music specialties:

• Flute/Piccolo • Clarinet • Saxophone • Oboe • Bassoon • French Horn • Trumpet •
• Euphonium • Tuba • Percussion • Guitar (Jazz/Classical) • Strings

With possible further opportunities in academic areas such as:

• Chamber Ensembles • Music Appreciation • Jazz History • Jazz Theory

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree or higher in Music or comparable professional experience.

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS: Evidence of outstanding artistry and record of successful college-level teaching or public-school teaching experience, particularly in applied music and/or chamber ensembles. A commitment to quality instruction at the college level is essential.
