RESPONSIBILITIES: Claflin University invites applicants for the position of Adjunct Faculty to teach undergraduate nursing courses in its RN to BSN program. These undergraduate teaching positions are part-time and all teaching can be done via distance learning. The courses are 8 weeks and are taught online through Moodle; with the exception of on-ground intensives one Saturday per month in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

Candidates should possess strong organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have recent (2-3 years) of course coordination, didactic teaching experience in the online environment; however motivated candidates who meet educational and professional criteria will be considered.

QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Unencumbered S.C. Registered Nursing License, current BLS certification, and a Master’s Degree in Nursing, with a Doctorate in Nursing and Online teaching experience preferred.

SPECIAL NOTE: Effective January 1, 2011, all new hires must pass a criminal background check.
