    Temporary Faculty Positions (on some campuses are referred to as "Adjunct") are continuous recruitment and positions are filled upon department need. Temporary Faculty benefit eligibility depends on appointment length and number of units. Salary placement for temporary faculty depends upon academic preparation and professional experience.

Position Summary

The Department of Construction Management in the Lyles College of Engineering at California State University, Fresno invites applications to be included in the lecturer pool to teach one or more courses related to: construction scheduling (CM116), building construction (CM150), heavy civil construction (CM151), residential construction (CM191T), and/or construction site planning and development (CM144). More specific assignments will depend on department needs.

The success applicant will be added to the lecturer pool, employment will be contigent on the needs of the department.

The Department of Construction Management in the Lyles College of Engineering, California State University, Fresno, provides a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management accredited program through the American Council of Construction Education. This department also provides a Minor in Construction Management to all other majors on campus. The Department of Construction Management provides practical experience through embedded service learning and a mandatory, for-credit internship program for all students. The department provides a well-rounded curriculum and many award-winning extracurricular activities for students.

Required Education

Master’s Degree in Construction Management, Real Estate, Engineering, or closely related field. BS in Construction Management, Real Estate, Engineering, or closely related field may be considered, if applicant meets the required qualification with 10 or more years of professional experience.

Required Experience

Experience in construction professional practice and/or teaching in engineering, architecture, construction, or real estate programs.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification or licensure in topics related to course subject matter. Teaching experience at the university level is not a must, but preferred.

Final determination of part time assignment is contingent upon student enrollment and budget.
