Position InformationJob Title Adjunct Instructor-Counseling / Instructors for HUDV 107 (First Year Seminar) Working Title Adjunct Instructor-Counseling Requisition Number 060013 Department Innovation & Learning Resources Location No Response Job Description "Currently, Brookdale's Counseling Department is seeking Adjunct Counselors for the upcoming fall semester to teach the College's 1 credit First Year Seminar (HUDV 107).
This orientation seminar, for students in their first semester, focuses on goal setting, values, engagement, career planning and overall adjustment to the college experience. It runs for the first 10 weeks of the semester and meets 1 hour and fifteen minutes each week. Faculty teaching this course are provided with a training session, and optional biweekly group mentoring sessions.
The College needs instructors for the morning and early afternoon. Sections of this course are taught in Lincroft as well as the Freehold, Wall, Neptune and Hazlet campuses."

In addition, the College seeks to build a pool of qualified applicants to provide professional counseling advisement services to assist all students in pursuing academic goals and facilitating personal growth and development. Description of Duties/Selection Criteria Provide counseling services to students.
*Provide instruction to students enrolled in the First Year Seminar (HUDV 107) orientation seminar. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in Counseling, Student Development, Social Work or closely related area. Preferred Qualifications & Special Considerations (i.e. overtime, expertise in, physical requirements, flexible in schedule, travel, preferred qualifications, etc) Knowledge of Monmouth County and its communities. Special Instructions to Applicants Please be aware that this is an adjunct pool position.
