Student Employee - Veterans Center Assistant

Job description


Student employee positions will be responsible for providing office support to the WCTC Veterans Center.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)

Job functions vary based on the department that they are assigned to and the individual department needs. Department based student employment positions perform the following functions (not limited to):
-greeting and assisting students, staff and visitors
-answering phones/taking messages
-oral and written correspondence
-file maintenance
-scanning, copying, faxing, and mail processing
-assisting with office and or lab equipment or machines (general maintenance)
-cash handling
-other duties as assigned such as serving as a peer mentor

Minimum Qualifications

-Must be enrolled as a current WCTC student
-Must have a minimum of 6 credits
-Must successfully pass criminal background check (cash handling and childcare positions only)

Supplemental Information

This position is available immediately.

Hours for this position will be up to 20 hours per week. The Veterans Center is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Student employees may work up to a maximum of 20 hours per week while enrolled in classes and a maximum of 28 hours per week during non-class periods.

Student employees are not benefit eligible.
