Student employee positions will be responsible for providing office and/or lab support to various departments across the college.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)

Job functions vary based on the department that they are assigned to and the individual department needs. Department based student employment positions perform the following functions (not limited to):

  • Greeting and assisting students, staff and visitors
  • Answering phones/taking messages
  • Oral and written correspondence
  • File maintenance
  • Scanning, copying, faxing, and mail processing
  • Assisting with office and or lab equipment or machines (general maintenance)
  • Collect and process student paperwork for study abroad and international admission
  • Create promotional flyers and assist in planning on-campus globally themed events
  • Meeting scheduling
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled as a current WCTC student
  • Must have a minimum of 6 credits
  • Must successfully pass criminal background check (cash handling and childcare positions only)
  • Must have a demonstrated global experience and/or interest in global issues
  • Federal work/study eligible
  • Demonstrated global experience and/or interest in global issues
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Proper phone and email etiquette
  • Intermediate or advanced experience with MS Office and Adobe programs

Hours
This position is part time, 15 hours per week position with hours Monday through Friday. Hours are flexible to work with student schedules.
