Adjunct Instructor - Science

Job description


We are accepting applications for individuals who meet our minimum qualifications and who can provide instruction within one or more of the following areas:

Life Science: Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, or Microbiology
Physical Science: Physics

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)

Under the direct supervision of the Associate Dean/Instructional Manager, the instructor is responsible for providing instruction to students within the assigned and approved instructional delivery system and in accordance with the mission, goals, policies and procedures of the District. The instructor is responsible for providing an active learning environment to enable students to demonstrate course competencies, and creating a student learning centered environment that places learning at the center of educational experiences.

Minimum Qualifications

Requirements may vary according to the instructional area and position.

1. A Master's degree is required in the area of instruction or related to the area of instruction.
2. Eighteen graduate level credits in the area of instruction.
3. Previous teaching experience is desirable.

Supplemental Information

Desired Start Date: Varies

Hours for this position vary from 3-10 per week, Monday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. only when school is in session.

This is an open position for qualified candidates in Life Science and Physical Science in the upcoming semesters.
