South Georgia State College is seeking to build a data base of qualified part-time faculty members. Faculty are needed at the off-campus teaching sites in Americus and Valdosta as well as both campuses in Douglas and Waycross. Part-time faculty members are called upon to teach as needed.

This course is designed to help students learn skills that will make them better college students, not only academically, but also socially. The course will focus on helping students identify strengths and offer services, resources and opportunities to build upon these strengths. Also the course will provide specific knowledge, tips, skills and shortcuts for excelling in a student's academic and occupational endeavors. Topics covered in this course will be college issues, services available to students, tips for better communication with classmates and instructors, time management and study skills. Faculty teach day and/or evening courses in SGSC 1000 College Orientation and Success.

Required Qualifications:Qualifications:

Instructor of first-semester Orientation course, SGSC 1000, a one-credit hour course. Must have some experience or proficiency in learning management systems, as a student or instructor, as most examinations are administered online. Must possess a bachelor's degree and must submit college transcript, SGSC employment application and three letters of reference.
