The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Department of Otolaryngology has an immediate opening for a cochlear implant audiologist as a fulltime faculty member (Assistant Professor) in the Division of Audiology. The Department of Otolaryngology has a longstanding reputation as a leader in hearing healthcare, cochlear implantation, and hearing research. Home to the University of Miami Ear Institute, the Department of Otolaryngology is a premier center for clinical care and research in hearing and implants.

Position Description:

Fulltime clinical audiologist providing services for pediatric and adult patients in a multidisciplinary clinical setting.  Essential duties and responsibilities consist of performing cochlear implant candidacy evaluations, assessment of post-operative outcomes, and cochlear implant programming of all commercially available devices.  Applicants should demonstrate competency in administering age appropriate evaluations including audiometry, auditory and speech perception tests, and objective measures.  Candidates should demonstrate experience in management of hearing loss through both amplification and implantable devices.

Doctoral degree required. Current/valid Florida Audiologist license required.
