Position Summary

Nicolet College is seeking a Theatre Technical Specialist to assist with activities held in the College Theatre.
The position is for 975 hours annually, over a 10-month period from August to June. Variable hours, including weekends and evenings, are required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide technical support for performances and other theatre events.
• Oversee and organize load-in, technical installations, and production elements for events.
• Implement designs and provides construction of sets.
• Schedule, coordinate, and lead volunteer crews.
• Maintain equipment and storage areas.
• Perform maintenance work on theatre and shop equipment.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of audio-visual equipment.
• Proficiency in using Windows-based software.
• Carpentry experience.
• Ability to work a highly flexible schedule. Hours fluctuate based on production schedule.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
• Strong customer service and verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with current theatre technology.
• Experience in coordinating volunteers.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to climb and work with the use of a ladder and mechanical lift.

Other

Compensation:
$17.17 per hour; not eligible for benefits.
