Middle Georgia State University is seeking candidates for an Assistant Professor of Information Technology and Director of the Center for Software Innovation (CSI). This is a 10-month tenure track teaching position in the Information Technology Program. Teaching responsibilities will be in the area of Software development. Experience in cybersecurity is preferred. The Director will manage Software Innovations to meet business needs and oversee agile development working with business, government, and students. The applicant should also be able to teach a variety of Information Technology core and elective courses within the Information Technology program. Teaching responsibilities may include day and/or evening classes. Travel between campuses (Cochran, Dublin, Macon, and Warner Robins) will be required. The Center for Software Innovation is based at the Warner Robins campus. Online teaching experience is desired. In addition to teaching, job requirements include service to the institution; and an active research and scholarly activities leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a doctorate in Information Technology or related disciplines with at least 18+ hours of graduate course work in the field of Information Technology as well as a reasonable record of teaching and scholarship that warrants appointment at the rank of assistant professor.
