Hesston College seeks applicants for Campus Pastor. The campus pastor leads the spiritual development of our students based on the Philosophy of Faith Formation, which states Jesus is the center of our faith, community is the center of our life and reconciliation is the center of our work. He/she leads students within a Christ-centered community, effectively engaging students of all faith backgrounds. The pastor is responsible for campus ministry programs, Christian growth, leadership, and worship, and is available to provide counseling services. The campus pastor will also provide pastoral services for our faculty and staff in times of distress. Responsibilities may also include teaching classes through our Bible department.

Minimum background includes a bachelor’s degree in a ministry-related field as well as 2+ years experience working in a pastoral position with youth; specifically high school youth or college-aged adults of different backgrounds, religions or cultures. A master’s or doctoral degree in a ministry-related field is preferred. Candidates must be ordained with an MC USA area conference, or be willing to be ordained through MC USA area conference (ordination process would be expected to start within first year of employment). Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to Christian higher education and the mission and values of Hesston College.
