Food Service Associate – Deli This position is a part-time, 10 – month position scheduled to work Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. for a total of 18 hours per week.In addition to all regularly assigned performance responsibilities, this position is primarily responsible for preparing food for the salad bar and for catered events. This station prepares fruits, vegetables, meats, and cheeses for salad bar guests as determined by the Manager and/or Kitchen Leader. The individual is responsible for storing, preparing, and cleaning the workstations, cookware and utensils used by this position. This position also operates the 3rd cash register as needed. Relieving the Cashier or operating the second cash register during busy times as determined by the Manager and/or Kitchen Leader.Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to be trained to operate equipment used in the Food Service kitchen and serving area.Ability to cooperate with management and fellow employees.Ability to learn the techniques and methods of food preparation.
- Earned High School diploma or equivalent.Three (3) years or more of experience in food service.Serve Safe certified.
- Prepares food including; set up, preparation, delivery, and take down under the supervision of the Manager and/or Kitchen Leader.Maintains satisfactory sanitation in the kitchen and serving area.Maintains proper level of stock at the food stations and serving area.Prepare and keep all necessary paperwork and documentation relating to bulk and packaged food and equipment maintenance.Assist other positions as needed or directed.Perform other duties as assigned.
