Position Summary
The Department of Psychology at Dominican University of California invites applications for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor position, with a research focus in social / personality psychology to begin August 2019. This is a full-time, 9 month position. Applicants should have academic and research experience in social / personality psychology and be able to teach courses in all areas of social psychology, theories of personality, statistics, research methods, and an undergraduate senior thesis course. We are a fun, team-oriented department, committed to academic excellence and supportive of faculty and student research.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate psychology classes, including the undergraduate thesis (Directed Research) on a 21 unit annual teaching/research track
- Academic advising of students
- Maintain an active research agenda which could involve undergraduate research assistants
- Contribute to the department and University through service on university / faculty committees
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Psychology, with a focus on Social / Personality from an accredited institution (ABD candidates will NOT be considered)
- Prior undergraduate teaching experience
Additional Position Information
- Priority will be given to applications submitted by November 16, 2018; however additional applications may be considered until the position is filled
