Job Description:


The Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice seeks candidates for a full-time position at the Assistant Professor level. This position will teach in our graduate, undergraduate and continuing education Criminal Justice programs, both day and evening courses, on both our Milton and Plymouth campuses, starting in the Fall of 2019. Candidate will be required to teach at least part of each semester course load in the evening and be comfortable with hybrid delivery.

Minimum Requirements:


A Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or closely related discipline is required (ABD will be considered earned Ph.D. required by start of appointment). Candidate should have the ability and desire to teach core undergraduate and graduate courses in Criminal Justice. A specialization in criminal justice leadership and policy strongly preferred. Candidate will be required to teach at least part of each semester course load in the evening and be comfortable with hybrid delivery. The department is seeking candidates with a strong history of effective teaching; experience in law enforcement and/or other criminal justice agencies preferred. Screening and review of candidate application materials will begin November 15, 2018 and continue until filled.
