Primary Responsibilities01. Install, adjust, and operate electronic equipment to record, edit, and transmit radio and television programs, motion pictures, video conferencing, or multimedia presentations., 02. Diagnose and resolve media system problems., 03. Perform repairs and routine cleaning of audio and video equipment., 04. Design layouts of audio and video equipment and perform upgrades and maintenance., 05. Determine formats, approaches, content, levels, and mediums to effectively meet objectives within budgetary constraints, using research, knowledge, and training., 06. Reserve audio-visual equipment and facilities, such as meeting rooms., 07. Perform other duties as assigned

Job Details

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Design, repair, install, and maintain media equipment, tech rooms, and projection systems across campus.  In some cases, it may be necessary or more efficient to outsource aspects of installation and repair.  In such cases, the coordinator will maintain accurate records and coordinate with the vendor providing the service. May supervise 1 or 2 employees in the support of university AV equipment. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Other duties may be assigned.  

Physical requirementsLight physical requirements associated with movement, set up, and take down of video equipment in offices and meeting venues across campus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
