The Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, Department of Pathology is seeking faculty at the level of Assistant to Associate Professor to fill a position as an educator and attending pathologist in order to expand our teaching faculty. This position will advance the MCG UME mission both within the Department of Pathology and as part of interdisciplinary educational initiatives. We seek a creative, innovative educator who will contribute uniquely to the educational team at MCG. This position will have some interdisciplinary educational focus, and will contribute to small group teaching. Applicants will also have strong diagnostic/clinical skills for a part time appointment in Anatomic Pathology. The Department of Pathology provides diagnostic clinical services to AU Health System, a 478 bed adult hospital and the 154 bed Children’s Hospital of Georgia. Applicants should have an MD degree or equivalent, and be board certified in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology. Georgia license or eligibility for licensure to practice medicine in Georgia is required. Faculty member will report to the Chair, Department of Pathology. The position carries responsibility dedicated to undergraduate medical education with a component committed to practice of anatomic pathology.

Doctoral degree (MD or equivalent)

• Anatomic Pathology or AP/CP Board certification preferably with fellowship training
• Experience and commitment to teaching UME level pathology is required.
