Defines system solutions based on user/client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms. Researches, identifies, selects, and tests technology products required for solution delivery. Establishes, implements, and documents the technology integration or migration strategies. The position requires staying on top of the industry trend and new technologies for the system architecture. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state-of-the-art technical or industry knowledge. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Design and implement short and long term strategic goals for managing and maintaining systems and software; provide expertise and architectural assistance to other IT personnel including software teams, Systems Analysts and Engineers
• Design, create and monitor the implementation of end-to-end integrated systems; review new and existing system designs, making recommendations for improving/altering systems; negotiate and administer vendor and consultant contracts
• Consult with department leadership and end-users to further infrastructure development; develop and execute test plans; develop policies for standardizing systems and manage many of the aspects of IT staffing
• Perform other duties as assigned
