Evaluate patients by completing a comprehensive medical history and physical examination prior to diagnostic and invasive studies in the procedure areas, ensuring correctness and safety of the procedure performedPerform cardiac consultations, write admission, discharge, and perioperative orders as needed; document/record progress notes; develop plans of care, ensuring optimal achievable quality of care is deliveredWork up patients prior to procedures including H&Ps, placing orders, and obtaining consent forms; follow-up with patients after procedures to include post procedure orders and notes, and discharging patientsServe as an advocate for the patient and their families, and uses Patient/Family Centered Care to create an environment where patients and families actively participate in their care; perform patient/family teachingAct as a preceptor for new staff membersResponsible for seeing patients independently in own clinic; practicing at satellite clinics on a rotational basis, traveling short distances (up to 1.5 hours away)Provide accurate and timely billing documentation; provide timely verification of electronic data in the EMR; meet all quality objectives during reporting period; ensure patient/employee safety related to the use of equipment/technologyPerform other patient care responsibilities as assigned
