Job Summary


The Part-Time Media Services and Network Technician provides media support and technological assistance to staff, students, and faculty.


Duties & Responsibilities


•Provides over the phone support and customer service to clients experiencing technical issues
•Installs and maintains computers, printers, application software and other peripheral equipment
•Troubleshoots and resolves computer related desktop and network communication problems
•Installs and configures multimedia equipment
•Assist instructors with classroom technology
•Takes digital video, pictures and conducts sound engineering for important College events
•Performs basic departmental functions, such as locating materials, answering questions and tracking calls and services requests
•Performs other duties as assigned


Minimum Requirements


•High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of related experience
•Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
•Knowledge of networks, communication systems and network topologies
•Knowledge of maintaining and installing computer equipment and peripherals
•Ability to complete daily requests in a competent and timely manner
•Possess excellent communications skills (both oral and written)
•Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
•Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
