Job Summary

This Faculty member will teach courses in the Engineering and Technology department. Courses will include but are not limited to Introduction to Engineering, “C” for Engineers, Engineering Economic Analysis, Solidworks, Electronics, Analog and Digital Circuits and other related engineering courses.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides classroom instruction
  • Revises and develops new curriculum
  • Develops and implements assessment activities to measure student learning outcomes
  • Develops and teaches online courses
  • Recruits, advises and evaluates students
  • Teaches Dual Enrollment classes
  • Prepares and writes grants for the Department of Engineering
  • Participates in departmental, campus and college committees
  • Teaches engineering and engineering technology courses college wide
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Master' s Degree in Computer, Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering; or, Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in discipline
  • All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Must have passion for teaching in engineering
  • Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to use innovative teaching techniques
  • Familiarity with distance learning and willingness to use technology tools in instruction
  • Ability to use collaborative learning techniques and student centered methods of instruction
  • Ability to work well with students and colleagues in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments


  • Minimum two (2) years college teaching experience
  • Minimum two (2) years related industrial experience
  • Computing and Electronics knowledge highly desirable
