Job Summary


This position is administrative work involving advanced support in student services within the area of advisement and career services.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Assists with the design, and implementation of comprehensive career services programs for students
  • Oversees the coordination of the Optimal Resume functions of the Department
  • Schedules virtual interviews, career interest and personal inventory orientations
  • Interacts with other college departments and outside agencies regarding assigned functions
  • Assists with the coordination of the annual and seasonal job fairs and the annual college fair
  • Informs students of career tools available from the Florida Department of Education and other resources
  • Participates in training activities and workshops
  • Serves on College and Campus Committees
  • Performs other duties as assigned



Minimum Requirements


  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience performing advanced clerical work or a related area; or two (2) years of college and two (2) years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of College organization: admission, registration, academic regulations, programs of study and departmental regulations
  • Knowledge of College Policies and Procedures, State rules, and Statutes
  • Possess excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to follow oral and written communications
  • Knowledge of career development and principles and practices
  • Ability to effectively communicate to groups of students
  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relations in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty, and staff
