Job Summary

The Part-time Assessment and Evaluation Analyst manages assessment data and evaluation processes across multiple campuses, academic units, administrative and student support services units and community/public service units at the College in support of continuous improvement and institutional effectiveness.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists in developing, implementing, and maintaining college-wide frameworks for planning, assessment, and evaluation activities
  • Performs quantitative data collection. Integrates and analyzes data from a course management system
  • Provides feedback on data collection instruments and protocols and analysis plans
  • Provides formative and summative data on student, administrative and academic levels needed for decision making
  • Supports the design, administration and analysis of needs assessments including conducting focus groups
  • Produces detailed technical reports on survey data, course evaluation data and educational data
  • Maintains data reports and documentation needed to ensure best practices and compliance with accreditation
  • Assists in the coordination of training and professional development activities for faculty, staff and administrators
  • Participates in meetings, task forces and special programming efforts as appropriate
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Education, Higher Education, Statistics or related field from a regionally accredited institution and one (1) year of assessment or related work experience or; Bachelor's degree in Education, Higher Education, Statistics or related field from a regionally accredited institution and three (3) years of related assessment or work experience
  • All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and specific computer programs related to the area of assessment and research
  • Knowledge of research and methodology, assessment design and implementation and evaluation design and implementation
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards and state and federal requirements related to institutional effectiveness
  • Expert knowledge and technology skills including online assessment tools such as Blackboard, Qualtrics, and/or SPSS/SAS
  • Possess strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple assignments
  • Possess excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to prepare reports, analysis and summary tables using a statistical software package
  • Ability to work a flexible scheduled that may include evening and weekend assignments
  • Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff and outside agencies
