Degree and Area of Specialization:

PhD in Civil Engineering or closely related field and demonstrated excellence in research and teaching.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Desired areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, hybrid electrochemical and microbial pathways for water or wastewater treatment and/or resource recovery, desalination and membrane technologies for potable water production, and novel bio-based processes for chemical production or resource recovery. Candidates with expertise in other areas of environmental engineering also will be considered.

Post-doctoral experience, professional experience, and a professional engineering license are desirable, but not required.
