Primary Function of Organization Unit: The Academic Programs (AP) office in the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences (CALS) is the focal point of the academic programs in the college and manages budgets for the college academic programs. There are academic degree programs in all of the 12 departments in CALS. The College offers 9 associate degree programs in the AGI, 19-degree programs at the undergraduate level, 21 graduate degree programs and numerous certificates.
Essential Job Duties: This position will serve as Executive Assistant to the Associate Dean and Director of Academic Programs in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) and as manager of the Academic Program office. The responsibilities of this position include: * Administrative support for the Associate Dean and the CALS Academic Program (AP) office * Communicator for the Associate Dean and the AP office * Facilitator of information dissemination to the public, college and university stakeholders and members of the College's Academic staff
Department Required Skills: * Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Power Point or similar products * Familiarity with reporting systems and calendaring applications * Experience working with both internal staff and external collaborators * Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: * Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration * 3 to 5 years of higher level administrative experience
