Degree and Area of Specialization:
Bachelor Degree in Biological Science or related field, but will consider candidates without a degree who have completed an accredited medical program in Nuclear Medicine and have a minimum of one year experience in Nuclear Medicine technology and Positron Emission Tomography.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
One year of Nuclear Medicine technology experience and Positron Emission Tomography experience required.
A minimum of seven years experience required for appointment at the senior level.
A criminal and/or caregiver background check will be conducted.
License or certificate:
Certification in Nuclear Medicine required.
The Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Technologist will support the research, translational and patient care services at the Wisconsin Institutes for Medical Research (WIMR). This position will be responsible for conducting daily research and clinical PET/CT, PET/MR and CT procedures while maintaining compliance with radiation safety regulations, research policies and HIPAA guidelines. This position requires detailed attention to procedures and documentation that will be used to assist and support research protocols.
Hours are Monday through Friday within the program hours of 6:30 am - 5 pm.
